Translate Window
When the “Edit” button in the Edit Languate window is selected, the
Translate window will be displayed.
The “Original” list indicates the original phrases in Source Language from which the new
language has been created. The “Translated” list indicates the translated phrases from
the language being created or edited. All of the phrases in the “Translated” list will be
RED until they are translated. All translated phrases will be GREY.
To Translate a Phrase
1 First locate the phrase to be translated. There are 4 methods of locating a phrase:
• The Search field will allow you to enter a phrase to search for. The Search
option will search the specified list of phrases for any part of a phrase that
matches the character you have typed. As you enter each character of the
phrase in the Search field, the first Translated phrase that has a match for what
has been entered will be highlighted. Additional matching Translated phrases
can be displayed by clicking on the “Translated” button. If you want to search
through the list of “Original” phrases, enter the phrase you want to search for
and then click on the “Original” button. Each time you click on the “Original”
button, the closest matching Original phrase will be displayed. If the phrase
that was entered in the Search field was not specific enough, enter more of the
phrase to search for and click on the appropriate button. If no phrase matches
what you have entered, the first phrase will be highlighted.
• Click on the “<<BACK” and “NEXT>>” buttons to scroll through the list of
phrases in the language until the desired phrase is being displayed in the
Translation… field.
• The Phrase field will indicate the location of the phrase out of the total number
of phrases in the language as you scroll through the list of phrases. If you know
the number of the phrase to be edited, highlight the phrase number in the left-
